I really enjoyed reading this piece Cassie wrote as part of her larger “Day in the Life” series, as rural health, in the face of steep Medicaid cuts, is such an important issue to keep an eye on. Rural health is already strained, and despite funding from the Rural Health Transformation Program, many facilities will have to reckon with lower Medicaid funding. Cassie does a great job illustrating how leaders are thinking about this on the ground.—MA
