Signed and Scrubbed: July 2026 hospital M&A

Welcome back to Signed and Scrubbed, a monthly roundup of hospital deals, developments, and bankruptcies.

Here’s your July 2026 roundup.

AdventHealth/Intermountain Health. Altamonte Springs, Florida-based AdventHealth and Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health signed a letter of intent on July 21 to affiliate five AdventHealth hospitals and three Intermountain hospitals in the Denver area.

Baptist Health. On July 12, Little Rock, Arkansas-based Baptist Health assumed control of Magnolia, Arkansas-based Magnolia Regional Medical Center, which has 25 beds. It will now be called Baptist Health Medical Center-Magnolia.

Kettering Health. Mount Vernon, Ohio-based Knox Community Hospital, signed a letter of intent to join Kettering Health, also in Ohio, Becker’s reported on July 28.

Prisma Health. On July 22, Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Erlanger Health, which has seven hospitals and is the main campus for University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Medicine – Chattanooga, signed a letter of intent to join Greenville, South Carolina-based Prisma Health on July 22.

Palomar Health/UC San Diego Health. On July 1, Escondido, California-based Palomar Health, which has two hospitals, and UC San Diego Health, which operates three hospitals, completed an agreement to establish a new joint health system called Palomar UC San Diego Health.

University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC). Jackson-based UMMC got approval from bankruptcy court on July 16 to assume control of Greenwood, Mississippi-based Leflore Hospital, a public hospital with 25 beds, according to Mississippi Today.
