Each month, we make a list of some of the leaders who were hired, fired, or retired from businesses ranging from major companies to startups in order to keep our readers informed.

Welcome to April 2026’s On Rotation!

Andrew Baum. Pfizer’s chief strategy and innovation officer is exiting his role, as reported by Reuters on April 20. Reuters also reported he will serve as a senior strategic advisor to company CEO Albert Bourla, then leave altogether by the end of the year, per an analyst note from BMO Capital Markets.

Alexander Billioux. Cityblock Health, a healthcare provider focused on Medicaid and dually eligible patients, announced Billioux as its new chief health officer on April 23. He comes to the role after five years at UnitedHealthcare, where he most recently served as government programs chief medical officer.

Cynthia Cifuentes-Finkel. Nashville-based healthcare system HCA Healthcare shared April 27 that Cifuentes-Finkel will become SVP of marketing and corporate affairs on June 8. She was most recently Kaiser Permanente’s regional VP of communications and strategic partnerships for Southern California and Hawaii, per HCA’s release.

Michael Cola. Effective April 20, clinical-stage pharmaceutical company Helus Pharma has ousted Cola just over two months after welcoming him to the role of CEO. The board of directors has appointed co-founder and Executive Chairman Eric So as interim CEO.

Catherine Estrampes. Medtech company GE HealthCare shared April 29 that it’s restructuring. As part of that shake-up, Estrampes is now chief commercial and growth officer and will lead all markets except China, a change from her old position as US and Canada president and CEO.

Carey Hendrickson. Post-acute healthcare platform PACS Group tapped Hendrickson as its new CFO effective April 27, succeeding company co-founder Mark Hancock, who had served as interim CFO since September 2025.

Ken Kramer. Helus Pharma shared on April 16 that it had nabbed Kramer as its SVP of medical affairs. Kramer was previously VP and global lead of neuropsychiatry medical affairs at Bristol Myers Squibb.

Steve Nelson. Aetna’s EVP and president is adding another title at a new company. He has joined the board of directors at Health Catalyst, effective May 1, the AI-powered health analytics company announced at the end of April.

Hayley Park. Nonprofit health plan Blue Shield of California announced Park as its new SVP and chief pharmacy officer on April 20. She was most recently VP of pharmacy operations and services at Kaiser Permanente Northern California.

Phil Rackliffe. As part of GE HealthCare’s restructuring, the company said April 29 that Rackliffe will transition from heading the company’s advanced visualization solutions unit to serve as president and CEO of a newly created segment for advanced imaging solutions that combines his old division with GE’s imaging segment.

David Reese. Drug company Amgen’s EVP and chief technology officer is retiring on June 30, Amgen announced April 22 alongside a handful of other organizational changes. Reese had been with the company for over 20 years.

Steve Ubl. The CEO and president of lobbying group PhRMA is stepping down after more than 10 years, the board shared in an April 8 release. He had the longest tenure of any PhRMA CEO, per the release.
