Welcome back to AI 411, a monthly roundup of AI announcements from across the healthcare industry.

This month saw announcements from Nvidia and OpenEvidence along with several big funding rounds from startups. Here’s your breakdown of March 2026’s AI updates.

Insilico Medicine. The biotech that uses AI for drug discovery announced on March 29 it had reached a deal valued up to $2.75 billion with pharma giant Eli Lilly to collaborate on research and development.

Nvidia. On March 3, Nvidia shared in a blog post that diagnostics company Droplet, which works with lymph-based liquid biopsy tests, has deployed the tech giant’s AI to conduct ultra-deep sequencing for cancer detection.

OpenEvidence. ChatGPT for doctors” company OpenEvidence announced on March 3 a partnership with publisher Wiley to bring its scientific and medical content, including peer-reviewed studies, onto the platform.

OpenEvidence also reached a deal with New York health system Mount Sinai on March 31 to make the platform available for clinicians in the provider’s electronic health record system.

RingCentral. On March 10, the business communications company launched RingCentral AIR Pro for Healthcare, an agentic AI platform that can automate patient communications via voice, SMS, video, and messaging.

Translucent. Using AI to facilitate healthcare finance, the AI startup announced a $27 million Series A funding round led by Google Ventures on March 11. This comes soon after a $7 million seed round in August.

UnityAI. UnityAI, which is building an autonomous workforce for healthcare operations, announced on March 4 a Series A fundraise led by venture capital firm Third Prime, bringing its total funding to $15 million.

WellSpan Health. On March 9, the Pennsylvania-based system launched a robotic dining system called Fresh Take Eatery at WellSpan York Hospital. The AI-enabled system provides 24-hour food service to patients and staff.
