New year, new CEOs.

This month was a busy one. Healthcare companies ranging from multinational corporations to AI startups announced changes to their executive leadership lineup for 2026.

Wondering who’s in and who’s out? We’ve got you covered. Welcome to January 2026’s On Rotation!

Tom Brady. Here’s a name we never thought we’d see on this list. GLP-1 telehealth startup eMed Population Health named the seven-time Super Bowl champion as its inaugural chief wellness officer on Jan. 12.

Nancy Cibotti. Healthcare AI startup Heidi announced Cibotti as its new US-based chief medical information officer on Jan. 28. She was previously associate chief medical information officer and chief innovation officer of primary care at Massachusetts-based Beth Israel Lahey Health.

Everett Cunningham. Biomarker company Quanterix named Cunningham as its next president and CEO effective Jan. 19, succeeding Masoud Toloue, who is staying on as an advisor. Cunningham left his role as chief commercial officer at biotech Illumina for this position.

Jesse Ehrenfeld. The former American Medical Association president has joined Aidoc as its chief medical officer, the medical imaging AI company announced Jan. 7.

Eric Green. On Jan. 8, Illumina tapped the former director of the National Institute of Health’s (NIH) National Human Genome Research Institute as its chief medical officer, effective Feb. 2. Green was forced out of his NIH position in April after 15+ years, Stat reported.

Frederick Lowery. Dental and medical supplier Henry Schein has a new CEO, effective March 2, the company announced Jan. 12.
