Welcome back! Some big news in opioid use disorder treatment. Two senators proposed a bill last week that would allow doctors who are board-certified in addiction treatment to send methadone prescriptions to pharmacies. It’s a bipartisan initiative to make the medication more accessible to patients who need it. The medication is currently only available at specialty clinics.
